The P.M. Kiran Mam, and ... The Green Twelve!!

Walking well on mother Earth
Here's an event that took place some time ago at EEBS. Only today (9th June) did it finally make its way through Rod Walker's mailbox onto the Blog, but ...
How IMPORTANT it is, when children in groups like Save our Environment - and their teachers - meet their country's leaders, everybody can learn, at every level, and help to find new ways of living well, in balance with our mother Earth

Also, here's a website link for envirnmental education:
Goodbye for now! Hoping we can talk again soon!
Your Green Eleven friend,
Rod

THE GREEN ELEVEN AND MISS KIRAN WITH MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT

Recently, The Green Eleven of the EEBS 'Save Our Environment' group,
together with their Principal Ms Kiran Karjit,
were happy to have the honour of welcoming a distinguished Member of Parliament in their School. They all hope to give the country's leaders an example to show how school children can work to bring about a better world for everyone in Nepal.

A NOTE FROM CHILE, FOR THE SOS GREEN 12

Dear KiranMam and the Green Eleven, which makes the Green Twelve, from Rod Walker:

Bandana!!! and THANK YOU for your mail full of news and stories of dust. I am sorry you are having a hard time, when I tell people here their faces change in sympathy ... some find it a bit difficult to believe. I hope it won't be too long before things get easier for you.

Did you try to send pictures with your mail? If so they got lost along the way. Just as soon as they arrive, I will be very glad to make them smaller and put them on the Blog. Good for the students to be so careful with the plastic, I think about you all a lot, and often. I talk with Heidi, and the plan is still in place for coming back to Nepal ... and, as we all know, time flows by quite quickly ...

You have a very good group of people there, and every little thing you can all do will help the earth. With lots of love, good wishes and a nice cool drink of water for you all, from

Rod Walker

HIKING TO SITAPAILA MONASTERY
Early in the morning at the date 4th september, some of the members of SOE gathered in our school at 7'O clock. From our school we went to shwoyambhu and met Rod sir on the road.We started walking from that place to the destination place(sitapaila monastery). While climbing up to the hill of sitapaila monastery,we fell very tired. In this way we met a dog which was brown in colour.Rod sir taught us about environment. We had sprinkled the seeds of peepal tree.We had many troubles to reach at sitapaila monastery because trail was not smooth. But when we arrived there we forgot all our troubles and enjoyed with happiness in the monastery.Rod sir also taught us about the prayer flag and about the rock.We had good time at sitapaila monastery
