To welcome Hindu festival Dashain SOE (Save Our Environment) club and FAG(First Aid Group)club of EEBS organised cultural program on 28th september,2011(10th Ashoj,2068).MC(master of ceremony) Ms.sushmita Nepali(5 grade) and Ms.Pramila Basnet(7 grade) discovered the program inviting group of students on stage to sing National anthem.

Nepali folk dance was performed by Ms. Samichhya Thapa(5 grade), Ms.Shalu John(7grade), Ms.Dikshya Gurug and Ms.Binita Nepali(4 grade).A teacher of EEBS, Ms.nilu Khatun choreographed the dance.

Salsa Dance was performed by Mas.Harshad Karjit, Ms. Mingma Dikki Sherpa, Ms.Priyanshi Patel(2grade) and Mas.Puskar Pudasaini(4 grade).

Mas.Hardik Karjit, Mas.Dev Raj Shrestha(7grade) and Mas. Nasib Adhikari(6 grade) presented popular B-boying which was choreographed by Mas.Roshan Bhakta Shrestha and Ms. Nilu Khatun.Mas.Bikkey Balami and Mas. Poojan Pudasaini sang beautiful song.

Mask dance called Laskhe Dance was performed by MasKarjit.

Small children from Nursery, LKG and UKG charmed the program by their pleasant rhymes.

Students of Grade one acted on the legendary song familiar among nepali children.

Artworks were displayed during the program and was enclosed by speech from Principal Ms.Kiran Karjit.

Program was short and sweet.

Dashain holidays was given from 29th sep to 15 october, 2011.

DASHAIN PROGRAM(ORGANISED BY FIRST AID GROUP(FAG)

DASHAIN IS ONE OF THE MAIN OR BIGGEST FESTIVAL OF NEPALESE PEOPLE.IT IS CELEBRATED FOR ATMOST 15 DAYS. IN THIS VERY AUSPICIOUS FESTIVAL PEOPLE CELEBRATE IT HAPPILY AND JOYFULLY WITH ALL THE RELATIVES. THEY EAT VARIOUS DELICIOUS FOOD SHARING EACH OTHERS. PEOPLE ESPECIALLY WORSHIP THE DURGA GODDESS. JUNIORS TAKE TIKA FROM THEIR SENIERS AND GET BLESSINGS FROM THEIR SENIERS.

FIRST AID GROUP(FAG) IS THE CHILDREN CLUB OF THE SCHOOL EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT BOARDING SCHOOL(EEBS). FAG PUT THEIR MEETING AND DECIDED THAT THEY WILL ORGANISED THE DASHAIN PROGRAM IN SCHOOL. ALL THE MEMBERS WORKED VERY HARD FOR THE PROGRAM. WHATEVER THEY DID WAS THEIR TEAM WORK. THEY ALSO INVITED ALL THE PARENTS IN THE DASHAIN PROGRAM. THEY PUT VARIOUS BEAUTIFUL PERFORMANCES IN THE PROGRAMS. THEY WERE:DANCESONGRHYMES BY JUNIOR CLASSCOUPLE CATWALK AND MANY MORE. AT THE DATE OF 7TH OCTOBER 2010 THEY WERE SUCCEED IN THEIR DESTINATION I.E. TO HELD THE DASHAIN PROGRAM SYSTEMATICALLY. THEY WERE SUCCESSFUL TO ACHIEVE A SUCCESSFUL GOAL BECAUSE OF ALL THEIR HARD WORKS AND TEAMWORK. THEIR PROGRAM WAS FANTASTIC AND THEIR NO SIGN OF WEAKNESS IN THE PROGRAM. SO THEY MAKE THE START OF DASHAIN FESTIVAL WITH THEIR GREAT AND WONDERFUL PERFORMANCES.

PENPAL PROJECT - MEETING WITH CHILDREN IN DURHAM

January has been a happy month for Miss Stella Saunders' class in St Pius X Primary School in Consett, County Durham, England ... it's the month they received letters from the children at EEBS School in Bijeshwori, Kathmandu. Rod Walker went to visit them, took this photo for you all to see, and answered lots of questions about life in Nepal. It was very interesting. Now the English children will write more letters. They had just sent some, the day before the meeting. Everyone keep looking at the blog, we'll be putting more news up on it as new things happen.

VISITING THE WHITE MONASTERY, JANUARY 2010

In our winter vaccation, we went to white monastry (Druk Monastry). All together we were fourteen. It was our first visit to the monastry & it was like finding the heaven of Nepal. Our journey was adventurous. The hill was slippy and we had to climbed up. Kiran mam was also with us. There was so many statues and fantastical art and paintings.
We all had brought different kinds of food. After we were very hungry, we all shared our food. It will be the memorial day for me. I was missing u a lot there. We enjoyed our journey. We had also clicked some photoes.

CATWALK AT EEBS!!!

Dear all,
It is really great to see my students preparing for the catwalk..Actually they are preparing for awareness on environment and sanitation and informative program.But they were concious the parents,guardians may find it boring so for the spicy program they decided to keep one more but very new item for EEBS,i,e catwalk.It is spreading the concious concept for my students about the posture.I never had thought about the postures of the children.I find it interesting so six and seven graders are getting knowledge about the grooming too.Hope this item will be liked by the parents of the students of EEBS.
The colourful and charming festival christmass is appreaing and our program will be held just one day before X-mas.I will certainly try to send you the pictures of this program.
Principal,adminstrative staffs,teachers and all the students of EEBS would like to wish you Merry X-mas and Happy new Year 2010.

Here's a message from Rod, to let you know I'm in England now - in a city called Durham which has a big cathedral (huge old church), a river and a castle. Near where I live there's a school, and a teacher friend is going to ask her children to send a message to you in Kathmandu. I hope it works, and I'll let you know. Meanwhile, keep watching this blog, and soon I'll put some photos here from England. As you see here, I've fixed the Sitapaila photo a bit ... it's my favourite photo, and it brings back happy memories of our walk up to the monastery with the dog.

Bandana!!! and THANK YOU for your mail full of news and stories of dust. I am sorry you are having a hard time, when I tell people here their faces change in sympathy ... some find it a bit difficult to believe. I hope it won't be too long before things get easier for you.

Did you try to send pictures with your mail? If so they got lost along the way. Just as soon as they arrive, I will be very glad to make them smaller and put them on the Blog. Good for the students to be so careful with the plastic, I think about you all a lot, and often. I talk with Heidi, and the plan is still in place for coming back to Nepal ... and, as we all know, time flows by quite quickly ...

HIKING TO SITAPAILA MONASTERY
Early in the morning at the date 4th september,some of the members of SOE gathered in our school at 7'O clock.From our school we went to shwoyambhu and met Rod sir on the road.We started walking from that place to the destination place(sitapaila monastery).While climbing up to the hill of sitapaila monastery,we fell very tired.In this way we met a dog which was brown in colour.Rod sir taught us about environment.We had sprinkled the seeds of peepal tree.We had many troubles to reach at sitapaila monastery because trail was not smooth.But when we arrived there we forgot all our troubles and enjoyed with happiness in the monastery.Rod sir also taught us about the prayer flag and about the rock.We had good time at sitapaila monastery
